PROPER MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS FOR CUSTOM EAGLE GOAL PADS

Tools needed:

  • Soft tape measure
  • Pen
  • Piece of paper

In order to find out what the correct size Eagle Goal Pad is for you, there are specific measurements that need to be taken. It is crucial that these measurements be precise. One small mistake can completely change the sizing on a pad.

What is needed are three distinct measurements. These three measurements will make up the total size of the pad.

MEASUREMENT "A"
Using a soft tape measure, measure from the tip of your large toe to the inside of the ankle bone (the knot). This measurement is to be in inches and NOT your skate size. Write the number down on the paper as "A = ___."

MEASUREMENT "B"
Measurement "B" is going to be from the ankle bone to the center of the knee cap (ATK).

Take your hand and cup your knee. What you are doing, by cupping your knee in this manner, this area your hand is covering is the ENTIRE KNEE.

Now, you need to find the center point of your knee. Make the measurement and write it as “B = ___."

A basic guide for you to use with getting the proper Eagle pad size is:

ATK PAD SIZE
15"   32" pad
15 1/2"   33" pad
16"   34" pad
16 1/2"   35" pad
17"   36" pad
17 1/2"   37" pad
18"   38" pad
18 1/2"   39" pad
19"   40" pad

MEASUREMENT "C"
Measurement "C" is going to be from the center of the knee cap to the desired height of where you want the top of the pad to be. Use the following steps to ensure proper height:

Again, locate the center point of your knee. Measure to where you would like the top of the pad to sit on your thigh. You may want to put your skates on and have your pads handy so that you can make comparisons between what you are currently using and what you potentially want to order, in order to get the best fitting product.
